Description
Assystem are working closely with a Niche vehicle OEM who are currently recruiting for an experienced Chassis Engineer who will hold responsibility for the development of brake systems. Knowledge of Brake pipes/hoses, Booster/Master cylinder and pedal box. Activities and Responsibilities
Lead design activities for CAD Designers and detail drawings
Work with suppliers to design and develop components/systems to meet all specified requirements such as weight, cost, durability, and performanc

Lead design activities for CAD Designers and detail drawings
Work with suppliers to design and develop components/systems to meet all specified requirements such as weight, cost, durability, and performance targets.
Manage suppliers to ensure parts are delivered to the appropriate quality standard at the right time.
Work closely with manufacturing to enable swift and accurate fitment of components to vehicle.
Release of all drawings.
Control of Design Verification and sign off reports.
Provide designs and components for concept cars
Lead and take part in FMEAS, P-Diagrams, and 8-D activities
Make sure FEA results meet target requirements, in all conditions
Experience and Qualifications
Engineering Degree or HND in appropriate discipline + minimum 2 years experience within an Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier
Experience of working with Brake components
Some project management experience would be preferred
