Description
Our client is a leading UK Defence organisation with the responsibility of providing and supplying the warheads for our nuclear capability deterrent. Based in the Reading area the requirement is for an Assurance Practitioner, HSE Advisor, Quality Advisor with previous experience of working on a nuclear licensed site or in another high hazard/highly regulated industry.

Our client is a leading UK Defence organisation with the responsibility of providing and supplying the warheads for our nuclear capability deterrent. Based in the Reading area the requirement is for an Assurance Practitioner, HSE Advisor, Quality Advisor with previous experience of working on a nuclear licensed site or in another high hazard/highly regulated industry.
The Assurance Practitioner, HSE Advisor, Quality Advisor will be expected to
Provide comprehensive assurance advice on issues and matters allied to the respective Operational / Business Area
Interface with Stakeholders associated with the Operational / Business Area
Review and advise on Safe Systems of Work to ensure compliance with legislative and Management System requirements and standards
Undertake where required and if suitable the Safety Advisor role for Operational / Business Area Modification Change Control Committees
Delivery of assurance training / briefings / initiatives / tool-box talks as required
Undertake audit and review activities of associated Operational / Business Area assurance arrangements, systems and processes to determine compliance and identify potential improvement activities
Monitor and facilitate progress on Assurance Improvement Programs
The successful Assurance Practitioner, HSE Advisor, Quality Advisor will have good knowledge of principal UK Environmental, Health and Safety legislation, ISO9000, 14001 and 18001 along with hazard identification/risk assessment principles and techniques.
