Description
In pursuit of continuous improvements and the need to reduce product costs, a vacancy has arisen in the Structures and Analysis Design Team for a Design Analysis Engineer.
Working within a team of structural engineers, the successful candidate will be required to execute structural system and component analysis across the full AT model range.
Job requirements
Primary responsibilities include:
Application of latest proven Caterpillar tools in the design and analysis of welded fabrications and
castings
Producing designs from concept to production drawings complying to all engineering and regulatory
requirements
Conducting technical evaluations and assessments of competitive product
Skills / Experience
The following skills and experience are required for this posting:
Requires an Engineering Degree
One years work experience in a relevant field
A strong engineering mechanics and mechanics of materials background, including fatigue of welds and
metals, including stress/life and strain/life concepts
Experience of problem solving techniques
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Must be self motivated, flexible and able to work in a team environment
Experience in the following areas would be advantageous:
Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis
Stress measurement/load data analysis
