Description
Large International Consultancy require Construction Professionals to operate out of their offices in Poland.
Ideal Candidates will be able to speak another European Language and have experience of Design. You must also come from a Consulting background.
Qualifications:
Chartered Engineer
Minimum ten years relevant design engineering consultancy experience
Relevant degree, and typically further degree qualified
Job Purpose:
They are expanding the capability of their Warsaw team and wish to appoint an Associate Director to operate within this market. The requirements will from time to time demand travel to where opportunities are (current regional projects with English speaking clients are ongoing in Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Italy, Hungary, Russia, Georgia and Ukraine).
Typically an Associate Director will be responsible for managing and leading a team of engineers working on both single and multi-disciplinary projects. They will be required to provide the creative direction to their team, coaching their team members, encouraging and supporting colleagues.
An Associate Director may have a bias towards a particular technical expertise and will be internally and externally respected as an expert in at least one sector.
An Associate Director will be responsible for building and owning existing and new customer relationships which deliver additional projects. They will be supported in this activity by the Group Director.
Person Specification:
This post requires a candidate who must have well developed skills in all of their Core Behavioural Competencies.
Typical Responsibilities:
Running multiple projects with the team, taking responsibility for the engineering solutions while ensuring financial success.
Developing and maintaining key client relationships under all circumstances, maximising opportunities for repeat business
Ensuring invoicing is up to date and bad debts are chased for all team projects
Completing and taking ownership for the team's monthly % complete and ensuring the team project PDS details are up-to date
Delivering commercially successful projects
Winning work actively identifying and converting leads to projects within the framework of the group marketing strategy
Preparing Financial and Technical submissions/proposals; attending interviews
Maintaining monthly operating plan for the team
Checking the team's project resource plans and effectively managing the team's overall resource requirements, liaising with other Associate Director's and teams
Identification of and assisting GD with short-listing/recruitment of permanent staff.
Responsible for recruitment and release of contract staff to meet resource plans.
Managing and leading a team of discipline staff, identifying training needs and personal development requirements through regular PDR's
Creating a sense of team belonging within the framework of the design studio
Strategic assessment of the teams strengths and needs over the long term
Ensure latest learning and development initiatives are implemented as required within the team.
To be able to deputise for the Group Director
Undertaking high-level project technical/quality reviews of specifications, reports and drawings produced by the team
Ensure latest professional standards are implemented.
Ensuring design rigor' is delivered on each project, and in particular ensuring design QA processes are fully planned and implemented.
Support and lead engineering design excellence within the team and dissemination of best in class' to rest of the DDG/Practise.
