Our client has been awarded one of the Major Civil Engineering Olympic development contracts whih will include the construction of innovative structures, bridges (transport and footbridges), and roads. This scheme offers the ambitious professional the chance to be part of a new team on one of the UKs most prestigious current projects. Experience of large Civils Projects e.g. The CTRL ideal, not essential.
Key duties for the Assistant QS include:-
Undertake costing activities for the Section Quantity Surveyor and Senior QS
• Resolve material and plant invoice queries as required.
• Produce and check materials and plant costings.
• Check processed invoices and maintain invoice documents for future reference.
• Maintain materials records on site for valuation.
• Measure completed works for allocated sections of the work for interim and final accounts.
• Assist in valuation of changes to original costs.
• Participate in recording of and payment of subcontracted work.
• Regular liaison with Senior QS on progress
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
• Carry out other relevant duties as required by Supervising QS or Senior QS.
