An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Assistant Branch Manager for a leading sales and rental trailer equipment company. The company are well established throughout the UK within the automotive industry.
The right candidate will have responsibility for the daily operation of the Branch in co-operation with the Branch Manager, ensuring an excellent level of customer service is achieved by all members of staff at all times. They will also need to motivate the team to a high standard of morale and to convey to staff what is expected of them in line with their job description. The right candidate will have previous sales and management experience ideally within a similar industry.
Responsibilities:-To control the stock of parts and finished trailers, within the agreed stocking/budgetary guidelines. To ensure systems are in place and followed regarding maintaining stock inventory on the computer.
-To ensure the Branch is kept clean, tidy and well presented and stocked including parts, trailers, leaflets.
-To ensure the hire fleet is correctly decalled to give maximum publicity and operated to best effect with regards to turnover and margin.
-To maintain a customer record system detailing sales, inquiries, follow-ups and general prospects.
-To ensure Company procedures are adhered to at all times e.g. hire procedures, credit control etc with reference to the Depot Operations Manual and intranet where appropriate.
-To ensure that the Human Resources Department is kept fully informed of all matters relating to staff absence/movements/discipline, training needs. To recruit new Team members by interviewing as required. To ensure correct procedures are followed, advice must be sought from the Human Resources Department at all stages.
Requirements:-The role will require a degree of driving visiting existing customers and generating new business.
-To be the responsible person for Health and Safety within the Branch and operate within the Health & Safety Policy ensuring all staff at the Branch are aware, understand and follow all risk assessments / COSHH Assessments and Manual Handling Assessments.
-To ensure all legally required documentation with regards to Health & Safety is available (e.g. examination reports etc.) as and when required.
-To attend regular Managers Meetings / and or Training sessions as organized by the Sales Director / Human Resources Department.
-To perform any other duties deemed reasonable on request.
-To be trained and drive a Fork Lift Truck where necessary.
-To hold a full, clean, current driving and towing licence.
Salary:-£17-18k dependant on experience.
