Description
Asset Management Planner required by this leading defence organisation. An opportunity has arisen for a self motivated individual to work within the MAS Production Planning Functional Team as an Asset Management Planner. MOD Security Clearance Critieria is applicable to this position. All applicants must be able to meet strict MOD criteria.
The Asset Management Planner will typically hold an HND /HNC or equivalent professional qualification and evidence of previous experience in a Tool Control / Management and or Production Control role would be advantageous together with an understanding of Tool Control / Management processes and appropriate Production Control and Logistics theories and applications would also be beneficial. As the role involves a high level of Stakeholder interaction, good communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to communicate effectively are essential
The role requires that the successful applicant will primarily be involved in maintaining the integrity of the MAS tool tracking system (D7i) and to support the development and implementation of the enablers necessary to support the MAS Asset Management Strategy. Although the role will be based in Lancashire it will involve interaction and travel between other MAS Sites and External Suppliers, therefore excellent communication skills and an ability to work effectively with others is desirable
Key Responsibility Areas:
Maintain the integrity of the MAS tool tracking system (D7i).including maintaining a suitable provision for training system users in how to input required data and undertake local interrogation and reporting. Provide support to the Asset Management Team Leader in continuously improving the company's asset storage provision, identify improvement opportunities and assist with the generation of the future strategy.

Support the maintenance of functional procedures and process governance across MAS in respect of the control and management and customer owned property, including involvement in asset related internal audits and support to Customer audits. Work with Operational Logistics Teams to undertake physical asset checks within MAS Businesses / Projects / Subcontractors and nominated Storage Facilities. Develop the system generation of appropriate management reports and provide analysis and appropriate recommendations to management relating to Asset Management.
