A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Arrangement and Piping Engineerto join the Power division of one of the world leaders in transport and energy infrastructure.
The Power Division, based in Switzerland, is a large and well-established company specialising in electricity generation equipment and services and is one of the worlds leading suppliers in the field of power station construction.
This is your chance to join the Steam Turbine Engineering team based in the beautiful town of Baden and contribute your expertise to the arrangement and piping engineering of the steam turbine and generator scope, one of the core components within the combined cycle power plants (CCPP).
As Arrangement and Piping Engineer, you will manage the appropriate arrangement of steam turbine, generator, auxiliary components and piping systems in all CCPP projects. You will also take over responsibility for turbine and generator foundation design and noise protection enclosures and for defining the parameters for their construction. In addition, you will create manufacturing documents such as pipe isometrics for hardware suppliers, coordinate engineering sub-contractors, organise hardware procurement and guarantee the quality of supplier deliveries by taking shop inspections. You will also provide support to the tendering and sales departments in defining prices and developing concepts and participate in the development and standardisation of reference layout solutions.
Qualified to degree level in mechanical engineering, you will have some CAD experience (PDMS). Ideally you will have proven experience in the planning of power plants, but applications from talented, fast-learning graduates are also welcome. A reliable and flexible team player, you will be ready to manage complex challenges in an international working environment.
German language classes will be on offer
