Our client, a well established and stable major continuous process manufacturing plant close to the Lake District requires two Area Engineering Managers. The operation is profitable, with good growth potential, and sustained high levels of capital investment
Each Area Engineering Manager will be responsible for all engineering activity in an important department of the operation. They will be responsible for projects, budgetary control, safety performance and improved levels of uptime and plant reliability through a team of multi-disciplined engineers
Ideally mechanically biased and with a degree or HNC/HND in a relevant discipline, they will have had at least 5 years experience in a supervisory/managerial role in a unionised environment. They must have experience in a continuous process industry such as glass, steel, chemicals, paper, bakery etc. Our ideal candidates will be experienced and knowledgeable practitioners in modern maintenance techniques and computerised maintenance, and have a strong commitment to, and full awareness of, safety and environmental legislation and practices.
