Area Asset Planner (Ref: ASM00125)
Circa £30,000 pa + pension + 26 days leave + private health care
Asset Managements main responsibility is to maintain and improve Anglian Waters asset base. It identifies risks, schedules interventions, commissions improvement works and manages investment budgets. Attracting and retaining the right people is essential to our business.
Working within a team focused on wastewater collection and treatment you will be responsible for the identification of local area asset performance risk issues. Youll ensure that effective interventions are planned and promote investment needs or operational projects to ensure our assets are maintained to an appropriate operational standard. To achieve this youll analyse trends, sharing your findings with strategic asset management teams and local operational colleagues.
Influencing capital projects and ensuring that suitable solutions are proposed, youll provide first-cut data on asset needs, risks, traditional solutions and indicative costs. Youll work closely with central strategic asset planning contacts and partners, whilst maintaining close links with operational teams in the analysis and resolution of short and long-term operational performance issues. A champion for examining and suggesting best practice approaches, youll have an eye for the detail but a sound view on our strategic needs.
In a region of rapid growth youll consider the impact of increased populations and flows on the performance of our assets and propose solutions to maintain levels of service to customers and the environment.
Of degree calibre or equivalent, ideally in a technical discipline, you will have proven technical experience within a water or wastewater or civil engineering environment. With a sound appreciation for managing and reporting on business risks youll be an excellent communicator and have the ability to interpret data whilst thinking strategically. Comfortable working to tight deadlines and being able to prioritise your work, youll be a strong IT user with excellent reporting skills.
