An opportunity to work in a ship repair and refit environment.
Our client requires a Qualified Appointed person.
You will need experience of handling steel plate along with the experience of manipulation of large loads up to 30 tonnes within the workshop.
You will be required to:
Assist machinists mounting work
Produce method and risk assessments relating to all aspects of lifting and moving large loads with the use of cranes, rollers, jacks tow trucks and trailers
Carry out the Loading and unloading of closed and open transport.
Be responsible for the stacking of equipment and materials.
You will work individually as well as with others within the workshops.
The following certificate/licences are required:
Overhead crane
Reach and counterbalance fork lift truck .
A Tow truck and trailer certificate are desirable, though not essential.
Rates for PAYE contractors are 15.54 (plus 1.58 holiday credit) for the first 37 hours worked, 20.73 (plus 2.11 holiday credit) for overtime Monday - Saturday and 25.91 (plus 2.64 holiday credit) for overtime on a Sunday.
For limited or umbrella company contractors rates are 19.32 for the first 37 hours worked, 25.76 for overtime overtime Monday- Saturday and 32.21 for overtime on a Sunday.
The basic working week is 37 Hours, with overtime being available on a regular basis.
