We are currently looking for an
Applications / Process Engineer
Our Client is a Process Engineering Company who Design and Build Rotary Machinery including Drives, Kilns, Shredders and Coolers.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To be part of the sales and engineering team by technically supporting its personnel.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Not in order of priority)
The ideal candidate for this position must be computer literate and familiar with the Microsoft suite of IT.
Making basic sizing calculations along with relevant data (airflows, velocities etc.) to enable technical offers to be prepared.
Attending meetings with clients to determine their requirements and interpreting these to enable technical offers to be prepared.
Creating control and instrumentation philosophy and P&IDs.
Designing control logic to enable others to prepare technical offers.
Creating process specifications and technical descriptions to enable orders to be placed by others.
Liaising with engineering and subcontractors on process aspects.
Conducting test work either at clients site or at our group near Hamburg, Germany.
Preparing test reports and liaising with the team in order to assist with sales.
Practical site commissioning of equipment we have supplied and preparation of the final commissioning report.
Developing mathematical models company equipment and monitoring them as data becomes available.
CANDIDATE:
The ideal person for this position will enjoy being part of a team and must be able to work on his/her own initiative.
The position is mainly office based at our offices in Nottinghamshire.
KNOWLEDGE:
Essential:
Either a Chemical Engineering qualification or practical experience.
Driving Licence
Desirable:
Both a Chemical Engineering qualification and practical experience in Drying/Calcining and Cooling.
Knowledge of size reduction techniques.
WORK SKILLS:
Essential:
The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
To meet strict timetables.
To produce reports as requested by the Business Manager
GENERAL SKILLS/ ATTRIBUTES:
Essential:
The ability to communicate clearly and record and log work in the appropriate system.
