New position has been created for an additional Applications Support Engineer for Distributed Products in the UK
The individual will be responsible for pre and post sales technical support activities in support of the UK and Eire Distributed Products Operation. The individual will support the Sales Engineers in customer technical discussions and in depth product demonstrations. The role will be responsible for configuration of the test products where appropriate and for the management of all customer technical enquiries in close liaison with our Principals. The individual should aim to be the centre of technical excellence in the UK Division for the products supported.
The individual will report to the Business Unit Manager but on a day by day basis will take direction from both the Sales Engineers and the Chief Engineer. It is expected that from time to time that the individual will support the other direct sales operations within the World-wide Distributed Products Business Unit.
Candidates should have at least 3 years experience as a Customer Support Engineer preferably either in the Test and Measurement industry or for a major communications manufacturer or tier 1 service provider.
Knowledge of a wide range of technologies, both current and future and an in depth understanding of communications protocols is essential. They should include many of the following:-
Ethernet, IP, VOIP, IPTV, SIP and Converged Networks
