Our client is a global leader in the health and beauty market and is currently recruiting for two Analytical Scientists to join their Research and Development site. These are exciting positions for candidates who have at least 12 months experience in pharma/health and beauty carrying out analytical testing with the use of HPLC.
The position will involve a great deal of hands-on analysis of a wide variety of samples from raw materials to finished products. Typically the work may involve:
Analysis of cosmetics and miscellaneous beauty care products - skin creams, lotions, perfumes etc. using standard laboratory methods.
QC analysis for consumer trials.
Analysis of stability samples.
Competitor product analysis.
Administration/distribution of stability samples/protocols
Method validation/verification.
Some opportunities for method development/optimisation.
Physical analysis: Appearance/pH/Brookfield Viscosity/Density/SG/Refractive Index.
Chemical analysis: HPLC (Isocratic/Gradient, UV/Diode Array/RI detection), Titration (Manual/Automated).
You will need to have:
Practical hands-on experience of using HPLC and preferably Karl Fisher, manual or automated titration, GC, UV-vis spectroscopy, etc.
Be organised with the ability to keep accurate records
Have prior experience of working in a GxP environment, or at least GMP/GLP
Have at least 12 months experience in pharma/health and beauty carrying out analytical testing with the use of HPLC.
