Our client manufacture aircraft structures and system components ranging from individual machined or composite components through to complete sub-assemblies or kits of parts.

Working a 37 hour week on days, there is the possibility this position will be move on to double days where shift premiums will apply.
This position will be based in the Composites Division, and most of the work is new production based work, but some repair work or modification of in-service parts is also carried out

The Role
- Fitting and assembly of parts and assemblies to drawing requirements.
- Trim Composite moulded components to drawing requirements.
- Trim to a cast line. Trim to jig. Mark out and trim to drawing.
- Fitting of sheet detail parts to composite moulded components using methods such as bonding, riveting, pop rivets, Choberts, air rivet gun (snaps and dollies), squeeze pliers, bolting.
- Counter-sinking using caged countersinks or freehand.
- Manufacture of goods within your department and other departments as may be required.
- Comply fully with internal and external Quality audits.


Candidates will ideally have experience in
- production aircraft fitting
- Countersinking using caged countersinks or freehand
- Wet/Lay work an advantage

Main resin systems used are
- Epoxy
- Phenolic
- Polyester
- Various adhesives

Applicants must be -
- Time Served
- Able to read drawings
- experienced in fitting and assembling (not necessary composites)

Working Hours
Monday - Thursday - 8.00am - 4.30pm
Friday - 8.00am - 1.00pm
Overtime is available and paid at T+1/3 after 37hrs

£8.74 PAYE rising to £9.56 PAYE when fully trained.
