Skills Required:
Petrol engine management system engineering capability. Able to define EMS control strategies, calibrate these strategies and deliver these by proving robustness to project timing. Six sigma mind set.

Skills Preferred:
Inca capability essential, Canalyser, matlab and simulink advantageous. Capable of reading and defining Denso mechanisation.

Education Required:
Candidates must have a minimum of HNC/HND in relevant field, ideally educated to Degree level.

Position Description:

This role has the responsibility for the HLDF component / system. As the owner of this customer facing system you will be responsible for : Validation of design for the system including testing systems in several languages (prior knowledge of these languages is not required), validating the customer interface and interface to the MOST vehicle network. Champion the creation and update of Functional Area Descriptions, System Requirement Documents and Software Requirement Specifications for the introduction of all features. Creation and delivery of Design verification plans. Coordinate the resolution of AIMs / e-Trackers / Issues to achieve targetted glidepath to closure. Champion analysis and resolution of electrical PD issues impacting Business performance - screen washout issues. Use of problem solving tools as appropriate e.g. G8d, 6 Panel.

Skills Required:

Skills: Knowledge of MOST/CAN based infotainment systems - essential. Experience of human interface (HMI) design - essential. Experience of in vehicle control systems - essential. Knowledge of FPDS / GPDS - desirable. Knowledge of PD toolsets (AIMS / WERS / E-tracker) - essential. Capability of working in a pro-active and pressured environment - essential. Knowledge and application of quality and problem solving tools - essential. Ability to interact and communicate at all levels within the business, suppliers and customers- essential.

Skills Preferred:
Full UK driving license.

Experience Required:
Experience: Proven delivery performance - essential. Capability to work individually or as part of a team - essential. Previous PMST leadership behaviours - desirable.

Position Description:
"Capture customer requirements and feature specifications for vehicle. Develop ECU hardware and software specifications for vehicle and agree delivery plan with supplier. Support vehicle integration via system interaction simulation and testing. Develop CAN message catalogue. Develop System Information Document to support all users of the system incorporating component data and system schematics. Deliver system application to GPDS targets. Develop Design & Validation Plan from above, and ensure system compliance to company standards. Generate system FMEA and support hazard analysis and robustness assessment activities, with supplier. "

Skills Required:
"Essential skills / experience required: ECU hardware & software specification, knowledge and experience of CAN / bus systems, understanding of input / output circuit design, knowledge and experience of automotive diagnostic systems. Knowledge and experience of system calibration tools is needed. Advantage: knowledge of Company GPDS delivery principles, experience of EMS supplier base, proven project management skills, previous experience of simulation tools."
