Position Description:
Brakes Quality PMST Leader, responsible for the analysis and definition of Brakes Quality and other Current Vehicle problems and for the design, development and engineering release of solutions.

Skills Required:
Must have demonstrable leadership skills with technical systems delivery experience. Must be a good team player with the ability to manage their workload and work on their own initiative. Must have good verbal and written communication skills to report technical issues across all levels. Must demonstrate proactive delivery and commitment to meeting deadlines. Must have a working knowledge of engineering disciplines and understand and use key delivery systems ( WERS, AIMS, etc.). Must be flexible with regard to multiple site working.

Experience Required:
Must have a working knowledge of engineering disciplines, with a demonstrable in-depth knowledge of the Brakes systems and components. Strong experience of related systems may be considered.

Experience Preferred:
Experience of product quality and warranty analysis would be beneficial

Education Required:
Educated to HNC / HND level or equivalent

Position Description:
Resolution of prioritised customer concerns. The applicant will be responsible for identifying and implementing containment, root cause and permanent corrective action as well as ensuring that robust verification and design validation/signoff has been achieved. The engineer will be expected to make use of BSAQ, Warranty data, GQRS, JD Powers, Service and in-plant data to assist in this process. -Support the production team with the timely resolution of build issues, from root cause analysis to implementation of the engineering change (WERS releasing process.)

Familiarity with vehicle infotainment systems is required. Experience in working with AM/FM/DAB or satellite radio reception, audio and video systems, navigation systems, telephone systems and telematics is desirable. The technologies employed in delivering Infotainment features and the testing of functionality at the levels of HMI operation, feature performance (eg. radio reception, audio quality, etc) and systems integration (through CAN or MOST networking) would also be useful experience. Previous experience of Vehicle launch or PVT - desirable

Analysis and resolution of quality issues identified by internal and external indicators including JD powers, FCPA, RFT, TGW. Co-ordination of plant quality, production and supplier issues - knowledge of PAW's deck desirable. Report out at sub-system team reviews. VQR's and PQR's to schedule in support of the VRT Leader. Robust delivery of BSAQ projects utilising standard reporting methods 6 panels, PPS (8D), A3s. Apply Form 4 mapping techniques to reduce manufacturing variability. Manage CCS releases in WERS through CMM as required.

Skills Required:
Experience of problem solving tools eg. 6 panel, PPS (8D), FMEA, Robustness, etc. essential. Data analysis and PC skills including Excel, Word, Powerpoint essential. Experience of WERS, AIMS,AWS and BSAQ desirable. Green Belt or Black Belt trained - desirable CAD experience desirable.

Skills Preferred:
Good organisational skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good PC skills i.e. Word, Powerpoint, MS project & Excel. Good team player capable of working in a reactive and fast paced environment.

Experience Required:
HND/Degree in Engineering or comparable qualifications or relevant experience. Several years specific experience in Automotive components development.
