Brakes Quality PMST Leader, responsible for the analysis and definition of Brakes Quality and other Current Vehicle problems and for the design, development and engineering release of solutions.
Skills Required:
Must have demonstrable leadership skills with technical systems delivery experience. Must be a good team player with the ability to manage their workload and work on their own initiative. Must have good verbal and written communication skills to report technical issues across all levels. Must demonstrate proactive delivery and commitment to meeting deadlines. Must have a working knowledge of engineering disciplines and understand and use key delivery systems ( WERS, AIMS, etc.). Must be flexible with regard to multiple site working.
Experience Required:
Must have a working knowledge of engineering disciplines, with a demonstrable in-depth knowledge of the Brakes systems and components. Strong experience of related systems may be considered.

Resolution of prioritised customer concerns. The applicant will be responsible for identifying and implementing containment, root cause and permanent corrective action as well as ensuring that robust verification and design validation/signoff has been achieved. The engineer will be expected to make use of BSAQ, Warranty data, GQRS, JD Powers, Service and in-plant data to assist in this process. -Support the production team with the timely resolution of build issues, from root cause analysis to implementation of the engineering change (WERS releasing process.)

You will be working in the car / vehicle assembly operations of a major international car manufacturer and will be dealing with such components as mechanical fitment of engines and gearboxes, seating, plastic mouldings, interior and exterior trim items, wheels and tyres, electrical harnessing, electronic components, sealing, vehicle finishing, infotainment (IT and driver information systems) and so on - basically any quality problems associated with any vehicle components, their fitting/ assembly and its performance) You will also be working with modern assembly tooling they may need minor modifications to solve a quality problem.
Both manufacturing and quality problems will be directed to the department for you to establish the reasons why a particular component or its assembly is giving cause for concern. Your responsibility will be to liaise with both in-house design, process and manufacturing engineers and equally suppliers of finished components to establish the reason for poor quality or misfitting on assembly, to develop a solution and to assist responsible departments to complete the improvements or changes required.

The individual will join the Body and Exterior PVT team. Reporting directly to the PVT supervisor, the individual will take day to day responsibility for the management and delivery of the Exterior Trim vehicle content in meeting the departments and CoC's 2008 targets. Resolve/reduce AIMS issues on current production. Load and manage the BSAQ data base for Exterior Trim. Monitor and understand AWS and ECB issues. Meet 2008 warranty reduction targets. Support the manufacturing team in containment and longer term resolution of current car issues.
Skills Required:
The jobs main skill requirements activities will involve the ability to interrogate and investigate customer feedback data in support of the Exterior trim Reduction Team (VRT) or Plant Vehicle Team (PVT), with an aim to resolve and prevent future incidents. Prioritisation and resolution of plant build and quality issues There will be a need to produce, maintain, track, & reporting matrices to support the weekly VRT report out forums & meetings, involving 8D's, 6 panels, BSAQ, AWS, TGW . The successful candidate will be required to work with minimal supervision, flexibility is a main requirement where the type tasks can vary from day to day. Ability to use appropriate quality tools and techniques. PC skills-Microsoft Applications especially excel & powerpoint. Knowledge of pivot tables & generally IT literate, with a good grasp of Intranet & Internet navigation.

Capability to review and interrogate cad data in Catia. Green/black belt trained
