Our client has an immediate requirement for either a permanent or contract 3D CAD Engineer for new vehicle project within a prestigious automotive company in the North West. There is a possibility that this could open out to 2 positions if you can find the right candidates.
This project due to last for 2 to 3 year which could continue to roll on indefinitely.
An ideally candidate will come from an automotive company who specialise in wiring harnesses however this position would suit someone from the aerospace industry.
Successful candidates with have a CATIA V5 background but this position would suit someone with CATIA V4.
You will be responsible for the following
•Vehicle package of electrical components (ECUs, fuseboxes, motors, etc)
•Electrical installations in vehicle
•Clash investigation and reports
•Import of suppliers 3D CAD data
•Bracket design and fixings strategy (sheet metal & plastic moulding)
•Harness routing and clipping E3D
•Harness ducts (plastic mouldings)
•E-box installations (plastic mouldings)
•2D drawings
