£49K - £56K + Package Description: Operations and Maintenance Manager/Operation Manager/General Maintenance Manager/Senior Transportation Maintenance Manager
We are currently working with a an organisation that are involved in innovative and leading edge transportation projects which include light rail, trams-links and unmanned public transportation systems for the future global market. Their business is built on a strong research and development foundation, and over the last 10 years they have forged long-standing strategic relationships with a number of sub-contract manufacturers. They have recently secured allegiance with a number of airports both in the UK and Europe to provide modern light rail transportation to ease passenger congestion into the main terminals. As part of phase one of the development of their projects they now require an Operations Manager who will be based permanently within the South Eastern Area to manage the day to day running of all systems and staff. Your role as an Operations and Maintenance Manager will be challenging and rewarding as you will be in charge of a number of key aspects. Some of the objectives in your role will be to review systems performance, health and safety, risk management, financial and budgetary control, product maintenance, recruitment and selection, training and development of new maintenance staff, planning and strategy design as well process improvements initiatives. To succeed in such a role you will need to be confident in managing stakeholder conflict and interests, superb customer rapport skills, ability to motivate effectively & manage performance and also to have a clear vision with regards to exceeding your goals and targets. To be considered for this role they will ideally be looking for the following profile Equivalent qualifications in Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Sufficient and Appropriate Experience as a Operations Manager Experience of managing Maintenance Technicians or Service Engineers Experience around maintenance and managing safety Ideally environmental experiences around Public Transportation, Passenger Lifts, Escalators Warehouse Distribution Systems or Industrial Conveyors You will be provided with a full induction training as well the appropriate training with regards to the transportation systems and their business protocols. You will be paid a competitive salary which could be up to the realm of £48,000 - £54,000 Plus Defined Pension Contributions + Life Assurance + Death in Service + Travel Expenses or Allowances.
